Eligibility Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in a 4-year HBCU
  • Be classified as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in Fall 2025
  • Have a minimum 2.8 GPA
  • Demonstrate a commitment to leadership, service, or community impact

FAQs

Is there a cost to participate in the Fellowship?

 No. The XceleadHer Fellowship is completely free to all selected participants.

Do I have to attend every event and workshop?

Yes. As a Fellow, you're expected to fully engage in the programming. This is a commitment to yourself and your growth—and we take it seriously.

Will travel for the in-person Summit be covered?

Yes. All major travel costs for the Summit (transportation, lodging, meals) will be covered for selected Fellows.

Can I apply if I'm a freshman?

Not at this time. The Fellowship is currently open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors enrolled at 4-year HBCUs.

What makes someone a strong applicant?

We’re looking for students who are authentic, driven, and ready to lead in their communities and beyond. Leadership looks different on everyone—so whether you're leading a student org or organizing a food drive, we want to hear your story.

Can international students apply?

Yes—as long as you're currently enrolled full-time at a U.S.-based 4-year HBCU and meet all other requirements.
